An IIDA Spring Semester Update
February 23, 2014 § Leave a comment
Our UNCG chapter of the International Interior Design Association has been very busy this semester while planning several exciting upcoming events!
IIDA will be hosting a Beaux Arts Ball on April 4th in the Crown Room of the Carolina Theater in Downtown Greensboro (tentative date and location). The theme is a Roaring 20’s Speakeasy. All IARc students, faculty, and, IIDA industry members and their dates are invited. There will be food, spirits, dancing, and fun- you won’t want to miss out! Keep a look out for out for upcoming ticket sales.
Submissions for the annual IARc T-shirt have been received and IIDA will be sending out a survey for students to vote on their favorite design. IARc T-shirts and mugs will be on sale soon.
A donations drive is being led by IIDA for the Interactive Resource Center, a homeless day center in Greensboro, and Streetwatch, a local street outreach program for the homeless. Collection bins will be set up around the studio in the coming weeks. Items needed include toothbrushes and toothpaste, travel size soap/shampoo/lotion, tents, sleeping bags, and umbrellas. The complete list of needed items can be found on the IRC and Streetwatch websites:
IIDA is also planning an Adopt-A-Stream Cleanup for a weekend in April. Everyone is invited to volunteer. We will have more details next month on an exact day and time and how you can volunteer!
Thank you for your support of our IIDA chapter!
