Ed Seiber: Destination Design

March 24, 2013 § Leave a comment

On March 20th, Ed Seiber,  the principal architect of Seiber Design, came to the IARc department to give a talk on his work within “Destination Design.” Seiber Design has primarily done work within the restaurant industry and strives to create a portfolio of work that “creates purpose.” Ed Seiber began his scholastic career studying German literature at Davison College, and eventually went on to study architecture at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he spent his time focusing his work on a client centered design process. He went on to open a firm in Atlanta, GA.

Seiber Design is a collaborative studio based in Atlanta, GA where the designers transgress boundaries across degrees and disciplines on each project. Ed Seiber said “happenstance” brought his firm to primarily design restaurants…one successful project lead to the next. A few of the firm’s projects are: The Mellow in Charleston, SC, Yeah! Burger in Atlanta, GA, Proof & Providence in Atlanta, GA, and Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta, as well.
