MSHP group to work with Architectural Salvage on Saturday 11/5

October 31, 2011 § Leave a comment

The Museum Studies and Historic Preservation Graduate Student Group (MSHP) is volunteering a few hours of labor with Architectural Salvage of Greensboro (ASG) to assist the removal of architectural features out of houses in the Glenwood neighborhood of Greensboro this Saturday at 8:45 am. The houses are being razed to make way for a project for UNC-G, and ASG has worked with UNC-G to allow the removal of items that might be needed and used by homeowners of similar period houses. If you would like to join in and help salvage some of these irreplaceable features, meet us at the ASG retail store at 300 Bellemeade St on November 5th, 8:45 am. Please dress to get dirty and for weather fluctuations. Waivers of liability will be signed before work begins.
