[2nd year] Anthropometric Study
September 28, 2011 § Leave a comment
[2nd year] studio, led by assistant professor Jonathon Anderson, critiqued their hand-crafted garments based upon the study of their own bodies. The studio focused on anthropometric and ergonomic analysis, which they used to document their human forms, observing them in relation to their surroundings. Through these investigations each student devised a technique to construct a garment that visually represented their research. Both assistant professor Hannah Mendoza and graduate student Felicia Dean served as guest jurors during the critique where they shared their constructive words of wisdom that gave the students some insight on the design elements they should further explore. All of the garments will be shown at the official Anthropometric Runway Show on Thursday, Oct. 6th at 7:30 p.m in the Gatewood Lobby. See the photos below of the very interesting projects!
