[2nd] year studio: UPDATE

the second years have embarked on the first phase of their final project for the semester- entitled “hipster haven.” they are using the becher-weaver center- which is a warehouse off of spring garden st. owned by uncg- as a site + existing building structure to design an apartment complex made up of 900 square feet units + a community space for first time owners of the XY generation.  the first phase of the project consists of teams of two to design the overall scheme of the complex to set the scene for the final phase as an individual phase to design one of the 900 sq. ft. units.  here are examples of some of the teams final designs for their iteration of ‘hipster haven’:
